Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs on your own device. The only network traffic is the one-off download of a decoder library when a file actually needs it.
Why can it not open EPS, CDR or old .ai files?
EPS and Illustrator files older than CS are PostScript programs and need a PostScript interpreter, which no browser has. CDR is a closed CorelDRAW format with no open implementation for the web at all. Save them as PDF, SVG or PNG in a desktop program first, and this tool will take them from there.
How does it handle RAW files?
It lifts out the full-size JPEG preview the camera wrote inside the file. That is the camera's own rendering with its own colour, not a fresh demosaic of the sensor data — for that, use the RAW Denoise Lab.
Can it merge many images into one file?
Yes — a multi-page PDF, an animated GIF, or a multi-size ICO for a favicon. Everything else is written one file in, one file out, optionally packed into a single ZIP.
Is the quality any good?
Resizing is done in steps so that big reductions stay sharp instead of turning to mush, and encoding uses the browser's own codecs — the same ones behind every image you see on the web.
